Messy Church

Here’s glimpse of some of the fun we had at Messy Church in November last year.
Our theme was Christmas and we enjoyed various crafts from making crowns, stars and angels to camel poo and a junk stable as well as a relaxed time of worship and shared food.
We’re having another evening soon – watch this space!

MADE4U IN ML2 – Family Funday 9th October

Have Martians landed in Cambusnethan?

What’s happening in Greenfield Drive?

MADE4U IN ML2 has taken over the old Nursery Building and has been renovating it over the last few weeks  with the help of volunteers and the workforce of Wates.

They have moved their office from Cambusnethan Street to  this new premises.

On 9th October there will be a Funday to celebrate the opening from 11am- 2pm – they look forward to meeting   as many members of our community as possible and want to hear your ideas for what they can offer over the  next months.

B2CS – Sunday 19th September

Like many churches in Wishaw on 19th September we are encouraging people to come back to church. Of course we try to do that all the time but it can be  hard to walk into a church for the first time or if you have been missing for a while. So hopefully it will make it easier if more people are doing it together. We are delivering leaflets to our parish in Cambusnethan to invite people to a normal service at 11am on 19th. Many churches throughout Britain will be joining in on Sunday 26th (http://www.backtochurch.co.uk/) but we decided to avoid the school holiday weekend.

iPraise Wishaw

More information about iPraise Wishaw, an all-age quarterly held event in this area and led by various people in local churches, is available from the iPraise website.

The upcoming event is on 18th September, and will be held in Cambusnethan Old Church (next door to Cambusnethan North) starting at 7pm.

iPraise also has a facebook and bebo page, and contact details are available HERE

Summer services

Our joint summer services begin tomorrow 4th July in Cambusnethan Old at 10.30 am. Tomorrow the    theme will be ‘faith’, on 11th July it will be hope and on 18th July it will be love. We look forward to    welcoming visitors as well as our ‘regulars’.

Solas Festival 2010

Solas2010 is an entirely new and exciting venture happening in Scotland this weekend (25th-27th June) at Wiston, Biggar and includes a great line up of speakers and music. Organisers described it as:

an independent festival, made in Scotland, with the support and co-operation of our partner organisations Greenbelt and Christian Aid Scotland.

Solas – an all-age weekend to light up the Scottish festival landscape with a vivid mix of music, debate, theatre, comedy, film and visual art – a unique location to celebrate and question our commitments to art, faith and justice within Scotland’s cultural life.

Many more details can be found by clicking through on the wellies above to reach the Solas2010 website.
