Messy Church

Messy Church is coming to Cambusnethan North Church on 20th November at 4.30 pm. Fun for all ages.

CHILL, CREATE, CELEBRATE, CHOMP – get messy for Christmas and enjoy all-age family fun: crafts, songs, stories, hot meal – no charge – all children need to be accompanied by an adult. We’ll finish around 6.30.

How has the Christian faith survived?

On Tuesday 15th March we start a five week series of evenings to explore what our Christian faith means to us. We hope we will be joined by people from other churches and also by anyone who is searching for meaning in their life. Each evening starts at 7.30pm and we stop in the middle for a cup of tea or coffee.

Jesus didn’t write a will. He left no written instructions. He didn’t seem to have a plan. At the end, as he hung dying on the cross, almost all of his followers had abandoned him. By most worldly estimates his ministry was a failure. Nevertheless, Jesus’ message of reconciliation with God lived on. It is the central message of the Bible. With this good news his disciples changed the world. How did they do it? What else did Jesus leave behind – what is his ‘legacy of love’? This course addresses these questions.

Week 1 – An empty tomb, Week 2 – A group of people, Week 3 – A story, Week 4 – A power, Week 5 – A meal

Don’t worry if you can only come to a few evenings, it will be good to meet you.

Lenten Lunches

Lenten lunches start  Thursday 10th March 12.15-1.30 £3.50 for adults and £2 for children. Proceeds will be divided between St Andrew’s Hospice Airdrie SC 010159 and our own church SC 013037 to help pay for property repairs. We will be on every Thursday until 7th April.

A chance to have a light lunch, meet people and help others at the same time.

Communion Services – Sunday 5th Sept.

All are welcome at our communion services, which will be held tomorrow at 11am and 6.30pm in Cambusnethan North Church. In the morning service, we’re celebrating as four people formally become part of the membership of our church family during the service.

Youth Organisations

With the young people in our area heading back to school, it is also the time for youth organisations in Cambusnethan North Church to start up again after the summer break.

Our Boys’ Brigade will be enrolling new members of all sections (i.e. different age groups) on FRIDAY 20th AUGUST, at 7pm. Boys wishing to join the BBs should come along to this session on Friday evening.

Details for the new session of our girls’ organisation (Brownies) and junior choir for boys and girls (Starchoonz) are still being finalised and will be provided here shortly. In the meantime, please CONTACT US if you’d like further information on any of our youth organisations.

On Sundays, we have two groups for our young people – starlights (for younger boys and girls) and the 11:30 Klub (for those a bit older). New members of both are always welcome.
