MADE4U IN ML2 – Family Funday 9th October
Have Martians landed in Cambusnethan?
What’s happening in Greenfield Drive?
MADE4U IN ML2 has taken over the old Nursery Building and has been renovating it over the last few weeks with the help of volunteers and the workforce of Wates.
They have moved their office from Cambusnethan Street to this new premises.
On 9th October there will be a Funday to celebrate the opening from 11am- 2pm – they look forward to meeting as many members of our community as possible and want to hear your ideas for what they can offer over the next months.

Youth Organisations
With the young people in our area heading back to school, it is also the time for youth organisations in Cambusnethan North Church to start up again after the summer break.
Our Boys’ Brigade will be enrolling new members of all sections (i.e. different age groups) on FRIDAY 20th AUGUST, at 7pm. Boys wishing to join the BBs should come along to this session on Friday evening.
Details for the new session of our girls’ organisation (Brownies) and junior choir for boys and girls (Starchoonz) are still being finalised and will be provided here shortly. In the meantime, please CONTACT US if you’d like further information on any of our youth organisations.
On Sundays, we have two groups for our young people – starlights (for younger boys and girls) and the 11:30 Klub (for those a bit older). New members of both are always welcome.

Greenhead Moss Community Nature Park – July updates
Just a reminder to local people who enjoy visiting Perchy Pond and Greenhead Moss Community Nature Park (which is situated very close to Cambusnethan North Church, for those who haven’t yet been to it) that there is now a very informative website run by Greenhead Moss Community Trust. Latest updates (from the end of July) highlight the presence of Roe Deer, a cuckoo, toads, newts and several bog species in flower. The website is a great resource, with the Nature Park being an important and valuable part of the local area.

Walking Group
Some members of Cambusnethan North Church join the walks organised by a local group, spending time exploring the great outdoors (and the, at times, unpredictable weather!) in nearby places. It’s a good chance to catch up with others and get out and about. The group has provided a list of summer walks here – and if you’re interested in coming along please contact Rev. Mhorag
The next walk is expected to be on 30 June 2010, to Greenhead Moss (the Secret Pond) and will be led by Cathie.
